Class Visit to Galloway Rotational Moulders

IMG_0394As part of the second year Technology paper, students are given the opportunity to visit manufacturing companies to see their manufacturing processes first hand. Yesterday our second years visited Galloway in East Tamaki to learn about rotational moulding. The students were given an in depth tour of Galloway’s factory and were able to watch parts of the moulding process of large water tanks. This was a valuable opportunity for students to ask questions and learn how the limitations and capabilities of rotational moulding inform the designs that can be produced. IMG_0424IMG_0422IMG_0401
