Interesting: Bone Conduction Headphones for Safer Cycling

These modular headphones, designed by Royal College of Arts graduate Gemma Roper can mounted to cycling helmets to allow cyclists to listen to music conducted through their cheekbones that won’t drown out the sounds of passing traffic. This reduces the risk of cycling with music, allowing cyclists to maintain an awareness of their surroundings.

The design seeks to improve on existing bone conducting headphones by providing a more stylish alternative. It also includes a headband and two earpad components that can be used to transform the set into more traditional over ear headphones for general use.
