On Wednesday 22nd of April a Sustainable Transport and Urban Design Seminar will be held inside Auckland Hospital’s Clinical Education Centre (CEC) in connection with the Design for Health and Wellbeing (DHW) Lab.
The seminar will include a presentation by award winning author and urban design expert Charles Montgomery from Vancouver. He will be speaking from 11am until noon.
The current third year design brief has also been dealing with the transport context in relation to Auckland hospital in association with the Design for Health and Wellbeing Lab. The students were asked to develop design interventions to enhance walking, cycling, and public transport use in the area covering Grafton Station, the Auckland Domain and Auckland Hospital, and will present their concepts to representatives from the DHW Lab and Auckland Transport at the project’s conclusion.
